FDNY to Welcome Liberty Competitors

The New York City Fire Department will be dispatching one of their fireboats to welcome all the athletes to the Liberty Challenge hosted by New York Outrigger on Saturday, June 23, 2012. The FDNY Marine Division fireboat will do a water display at the 2:30PM start of the Mixed Race. Liberty Mixed Crews will launch from the Cove Between the Bridges at Brooklyn Bridge Park. The race start and fireboat are easily visible from both shores of the East River at Brooklyn Bridge Park and South Street Seaport in Manhattan.
