Hālāwai and New York Outrigger are pleased to present Andy Wang on the Hawaiian Airlines Stage at the Liberty Festival in Hudson River Park’s Pier 26 as part of the 2013 Hawaiian Airlines Liberty Challenge on Saturday, June 22.

Andy Wang is a highly sought after Hawaiian musician who performs weddings, fundraisers, corporate, private and public events in the New York tri-state area. He has studied under Hawaiian slack key guitar masters Keola Beamer, Raymond Kāne, and Ozzie Kotani. Mr. Wang has appeared as a special guest with “Hawaii’s super group” HAPA and twice opened for the legendary Mākaha Sons. In June 2012, he toured with Vicky Holt Takamine’s Pua Ali’i ‘Ilima with performances at the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts, La Mama Theatre, and Jacob’s Pillow. His music has also been featured by Hawaiian Airlines and national television networks.

He is founder of the popular online Hawaiian music community www.taropatch.net and a board member of New York based non-profit, Hālāwai, Inc www.halawai.org.

When not attired in an aloha shirt, Mr. Wang is an owner at Runnymede Capital Management, an investment firm that manages investment portfolios of insurance companies, Taft-Hartley, pension funds, non-profit/religious organizations, and individuals.
